Transparency
I think that it is acceptable for a future employer or school to check my digital footprints. I believe that we should be transparent in what we do. To me that means that I shouldn’t post anything online that is embarrassing and depicts me in a poor light. You won’t see me in any compromising positions so I am OK with people checking out my digital footprints because I have not done anything wrong and improper.

The DANGERS of a single story
In Ms. Adichie's The Danger of a Single Story, she identifies how a single story is an incomplete one and when we choose to define 'a people' or 'a person' by one we are doing everyone an injustice. When we see people as we think they are and not what they really are we are demeaning that person and we are limiting our appreciation of that person due to our preconceptions.
Stories matter. Many stories matter. Stories have been used to dispossess and to malign, but stories can also be used to empower and to humanize. Stories can break the dignity of a people, but stories can also repair that broken dignity.

Be careful about what you post online
Whenever you post or comment, think about how the things you say online will make others feel - AND think about the impression you’re leaving of yourself.
Remember that the online world isn’t real life but it is PERMANENT.

I am posting this picture of my daughter and BMike from StudioBe. She is standing in front of a painting that the studio purchased. This image doesn't show her in a compromising manner and her personal information is not easily seen. This is an example of me recognizing her #BlackGirlMagic.
